I finally started my period after the cancelled cycle… 40 days after my last period, or 29 days after the cancellation of the IVF cycle. Not sure at which number to look. Anyway, I was supposed to go back to the RE after I started but I think we’re going to try on our own this month. I’m charting and will use a OPK this month and try to “relax.” I’ll go see the doc after this next period. I’m pretty sure the doc will say donor eggs are really my best hope of carrying a child. I’m just not ready to face that yet.
I must be crazy but I’m hopeful again. Maybe this month. Famous last words, huh?

oh, I so know where you are right now. It’s hard to decide when to stop or shift directions. about a year and a half ago, I started thinking about DE… it was a natural path after so much disappointment with my own eggs. It’s something you need to just sit and stew on. Sounds like you have a great idea of taking a much needed break!
isn’t it insane how we don’t want AF to show up… desparately so. But then, when we know that a baby isn’t possible we just want her to get here already!
Are we really so hard to please?
I don’t believe that relaxing alone makes babies, but it certainly has its own merits.

I can understand not being ready to face donor eggs yet. I’m sure it is a tough decision. Good luck with IVF or donor eggs, whichever you choose.

Here is to relaxing. We are on a mandated doctor break. He has some grand ideas that this will help with our TTC journey.
